2,800 DUI Arrests Made Over Holidays

Over a period of one month police in Arizona have made 2,800 DUI arrests. All of these were made as part of the holiday crackdown on drunk driving in the state.
According to official reports, officers from across the state have worked overtime to conduct increased DUI patrols. In just 30 days nearly 47,000 traffic stops have been conducted as part of the sobriety campaign. This figure is much higher than the figures for the preceding year when just 34,000 traffic stops were conducted by state police.
