Former Police Sergeant Pleads Guilty to Aggravated DUI in Phoenix
Recently, a former sergeant was pulled over in Phoenix, Arizona for committing several crimes. J.C.F. was a 13 year veteran of the Phoenix police force when he was fired last year. He was pulled over last week when officers noticed his vehicle swerving across the road. When officers stopped J.C.F., it appeared that the former sergeant was under the influence of alcohol, which was aggravated by the fact that his two children were riding in the back seat of his car.
Following his arrest, J.C.F. pleaded guilty to one count of extreme aggravated DUI and two counts of aggravated DUI. Although all three charges are considered to be felonies under Arizona state law, they were reduced to misdemeanors in exchange for a guilty plea. Now that J.C.F. has entered the guilty plea, the Police Training Board may suspend his Arizona officer certification. Have you been arrested for driving under the influence in the Phoenix area?
