DUI Suspect Arrested for Subsequent Offense
In Mesa, Arizona, local police officers have reported that one DUI offender was arrested after he was caught driving on a suspended license for well over fifteen years.
According to local authorities, the driver, a 50-year-old male, was pulled over after officers saw him stopped at a green light at approximately 2:30 AM on Friday. Prior to pulling him over, they noticed that the man had been driving his vehicle 15 MPH below the posted speed limit.
When police questioned the man, he admitted that he had consumed a few beers before driving. Officers also say that the man smelled of alcohol when he exited the vehicle and that a blood sample was taken for testing.
Following his arrest, the man was charged with suspicion of aggravated DUI. This is not the first time the man has been in trouble with the law as he has prior convictions for DUI, aggravated DUI and assault.
