University Sports Team Member Arrested for DUI
One young man's arrest will not only affect his future, but those of his teammates as well.
Thanks to the recklessness of the young man, a college football team in Georgia will be without its star defensive player for the next two games. The 22-year-old was arrested last weekend when he was stopped by police for speeding.
When officers approached the vehicle, they quickly determined that the young man was also intoxicated, a conjecture that was proven to be true by a blood alcohol test. The young man registered a blood alcohol level of 0. 12, which is well above the state's legal limit of 0.08. He also failed all of the
field sobriety tests he was asked to complete.
The arrest came ten hours after leading the player team to victory against a rival school. He was released from jail several hours later on $3,500 bond for speeding and DUI.
