Young Man Causes DUI Accident and Death of Friend

A young man will not only inevitably spend time behind bars, but he will live his life knowing that he killed one of his good friends.

Last week, a 20-year-old male was drinking at a friend's house when he decided to drive home. He had a female passenger with him at the time, who was riding in the front seat. When the young man woke up, he realized that he had drifted across a major highway in Arizona, drove off the shoulder, and flipped over.

His female passenger was thrown out of the car and declared dead on the scene. He told officers that he fell asleep behind the wheel and did not remember the crash. While officers did not doubt that he had been drinking, their suspicions were confirmed when his blood-alcohol level registered at almost twice the state's legal limit.

He now faces multiple charges, including DUI and manslaughter.
