Woman Facing 4 Felonies for DUI Accident

In the city of Phoenix a local woman is facing four felony counts after police say that she was found driving under the influence with her children inside of her vehicle before crashing her car on Saturday evening.

34-year-old Carla Flanagan was placed under arrest by police after she crashed her vehicle near 45th St. and Baseline Avenue.

According to local law enforcement, Flanagan fled the scene with her youngest child, but left her eight-year-old son at the scene of the DUI accident. Police later found Flanagan hiding in an apartment complex near its stairwell.

Following the accident, she was booked into jail for aggravated DUI with a passenger under 15, failure to stay at the scene, endangerment, and aggravated DUI. Police also say that she had been driving with a suspended license.
