DUI Round Up Leads to 48 Arrests
According to the Associated Press, the Arizona Department of Public Safety along with several other police agencies managed to arrest 48 people with outstanding warrants for drunk driving related offenses.
On Thursday, police departments from Scottsdale, Phoenix, Surprise and the Maricopa County Adult Probation Department all participated in the fifth annualDUI warrant round up and the results were quite impactful.
The Department of Public Safety said that officers went to businesses and homes to conduct arrests four suspected DUI offenders. If the suspects did not want to wait to be arrested, they had the option of turning themselves in at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum which is located in the city of Phoenix.
