14 Year Old Stopped by Police for DUI Accident
In the city of Phoenix, police report that a 14-year-old boy was recently arrested forDUI after he stole a vehicle and crashed it on Wednesday evening.
According to Department of Public Safety spokesman Robert Bailey, at approximately 9:30 PM police officers began to follow a vehicle that had been reported as stolen in the Phoenix area. Officers say that the driver of the motor vehicle would not surrender to officers and ran several red lights before clipping a vehicle and crashing the car near 19th and Dunlap Avenues.
After police apprehended the 14-year-old driver they discovered that the car belonged to the teenager's relative. Police placed the boy under arrest for driving under the influence and it has not been revealed whether or not the teenager was injured during the DUI accident.
