Police Believe Alcohol was Involved in Major Wreck

Tragedy struck in Central Phoenix this past week. According to several news sources, a major wreck involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle lead to the death of one man and the arrest of a female driver. Now, police are saying that they have reason to believe that the collision may have been a DUI accident.

Witnesses who saw the crash told police that the driver of the pickup truck, a woman, slammed into the motorcyclist after running a red light. One witness reported that the truck rolled right over the biker and his motorcycle before crashing into a concrete barrier.

Following the incident, the male motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his accident related injuries. Police arrested the 54-year-old female and said that as she walked away from the scene she was very unsteady on her feet. They believe that alcohol was involved.

After you have been arrested for causing a DUI accident, it is important that you retain representation from a Phoenix DUI attorney as soon as possible so you can prepare your defense. Contact the Knowles Law Firm today to enlist our legal services during your DUI case.
