DUI Offender Hits and Kills Two Dogs
At this time, news sources in Phoenix, Arizona are saying that a man was placed under arrest for driving under the influence this week. The man, who is now in jail, allegedly drove while impaired, ran over two dogs, and then dragged them throughout the street until they died.
Instead of stopping, police say that the man watched as the dogs perished. One of the canines belongs to the man's neighbor and the other was his very own pet.
Police were called to the scene after neighbors saw the man speeding down their street in a Firebird. One neighbor told reporters that the man should have been more careful as he could have easily hit children in the neighborhood while driving impaired.
The man was placed under arrest and has been charged with multiple offenses including killing an animal with the owner's consent and extreme DUI. His bail was set at $9,800 by a local judge who said that if the man makes his bond, he must stay away from all animals upon his release.
