Woman Hides in Another Country After DUI Accident

A woman who has been hiding out in Kuwait for five years is now willing to come out of hiding.
Muneerah Al-Tarrah killed a man in Mesa back in 2005 in a hit-and-run DUI accident. She is both an American and Kuwaiti citizen, which is why she fled back to her country after she was released on bail in 2005. Now she is attempting to craft a deal with the US government to allow her to travel to Europe.
At this time her passport shows that she is a "fugitive". She has proposed that if the county attorney lifts this status, she will post the $300,000 bond and will appear in Arizona for sentencing, only after she has completed psychiatric treatment in Europe. The father of the victim, Glenn Degain, told reporters that the deal would be an insult to his family if accepted.
