In Sierra Vista, it has been reported that the Southeastern Arizona DUI Task Force participated in a statewide DUI enforcement period his past Saturday.
New sources say that 12 officers from three separate agencies in the Southeastern Arizona DUI Task Force conducted 102 traffic stops throughout the state. During that time, they were able to issue 42 citations and 68 warnings to drivers.
Police say that there were no DUI arrests, alcohol violations or under age alcohol violations issued. However, they did say that they asked five drivers to perform field sobriety tests because they believed the drivers were impaired.
Agents said they issued one seat belt violation and three child restraint violations and had to make one arrest for another type of criminal offense, but they did not go into detail.
