Governor Brewer was Suspected of DUI
In Phoenix, a local news source has obtained a police report involving an accident and Governor Jan Brewer. The report is over two decades old and says that officers at the scene believed she was driving under the influence (DUI).
At the time of the car accident, Brewer was a state senator, but she was never charged in the accident or for DI. The report goes into detail about how Brewer rear-ended a van while driving on Interstate 17. The alleged DUI accident took place on May 4, 1988.
In the report, it is revealed that Brewer told police different stories about how the accident occurred. She also admitted to having one scotch initially and then later admitted to having to. Officers said that they believed Brewer was under the influence when the accident occurred and that she had alcohol on her breath. Yet, charges were never filed.
