Woman Charged with Extreme DUI after Crashing into House
In Phoenix, it has been reported by local news sources that a 19-year-old woman crashed her vehicle into the front yard of a home located in Mesa. The DUI accident took place during morning hours on Sunday.
It is said that around 5:30 AM, the driver missed a T intersection while traveling along West Kiowa. Her car then jumped the curb, hit a tree and then came stop while resting next to the home.
According to Sgt. Edward Wessing, alcohol was definitely a factor in the accident. The driver, whose identity was not released, was allegedly taken to the hospital for medical treatment. Wessing said that once the driver is released from the hospital she will face extreme DUI charges.
He said that the house was damaged but no one inside of the residence sustained any injuries.
