College Football Players Gets Arrested for Suspicion of DUI
In the state of Tennessee, it is said that quarterback Doak Raulston was placed under arrest this past weekend for suspicion of driving under the influence. Local news sources say that the quarterback will be arraigned in Knox County Sessions Court on December 2, 2010. This date was later confirmed by a judicial clerk.
Raulston had been sitting out for the season due to NCAA transfer rules. Following his DUI arrest, he was able to post a $1000 bond to avoid appearing in court the following day. At this time, his coach, Derek Dooley, has said that Raulston is suspended indefinitely from all team activities.
Dooley said, "That's a serious, serious risk that you take when you get behind the wheel impaired. I'm disappointed in him and I know he's embarrassed, he's hurt his family and he's hurt our program. He'll have to pay some consequences."
