Man Gets 6 Years for DUI Accident Fatalities

In Phoenix, a man from San Carlos has received a sentence of six years in federal prison. According to reports, 21 year old Bernie Deshane Baca was driving under the influence (DUI) when he caused an accident that led to the death of three women in May 2008.
The U.S. Attorney's Office claims that Baca was speeding and driving drunk when he lost control of his vehicle. His car then slammed into another vehicle head-on in Whiteriver on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation, which is located in eastern Arizona.
Two if the victims died at the scene of the accident. The other died one month after the crash took place.
On January 20th, Baca pled guilty to three counts of involuntary manslaughter. He will now have to serve time in prison as part of his sentence.
