This week in Phoenix, Arizona, news sources report that a man that killed three women during an accident received sentencing. 21 year old Bernie Deshane Baca was sentenced in the U.S. District Court to six years in federal prison for his offenses.
In May 2008, Baca had been driving under the influence and speeding when he suddenly lost control of his car. He managed to slam into another vehicle head-on in Whiteriver on the Fort Apache Reservation, which is located in eastern Arizona.
Two of the victims died at the scene of the DUI accident and the third died a month later. In January 2010, Baca pled guilty to three counts of involuntary manslaughter said prosecutors.
