Local Woman Charged with Aggravated DUI and Drug Crimes

In the city of Mesa, local police officers arrested a woman that admitted to supplying minors with marijuana. 

Officers say that Candace Calvert, who is 21 years old, left her vehicle parked near mesa drive at 8:30 PM this past Friday.  Police decided to run a check on her license plate and found that her vehicle had invalid registration as well as a mandatory insurance suspension.

Calvert was sitting in the driver's seat and the car was idling. Police say that were juvenile passengers were inside of the car and all were friends of Calvert.  All of the juveniles had displayed signs of intoxication.

Officers placed Calvert under arrest for suspicion of marijuana use as well as possession, drug paraphernalia use and possession, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and aggravated DUI with passenger under age 15.
