Local news sources say that Sheriff Joe Arpaio is known as one of the toughest sheriffs in America. However, he had some holiday fun by hosting his version of "American Idol" and the participants were ten inmates currently residing inside of the Arpaio's Maricopa County Jail in Phoenix.
The inmates sang Christmas carols for their suppers on Tuesday afternoon, say news sources. The winner of the competition was Jodi Ann Arias, who sang "Oh, Holy Night."
Arias and her cellmate were rewarded with a turkey dinner, mashed potatoes and Christmas cookies as the result of her win. Officials told reporters that the people who participated in the competition are being held in jail on charges that range from burglary, to DUI, to murder.
